The Department of Medical Genetics is involved in the following international activities:

Dyscerne - A European Commission funded project which aims to improve the diagnosis, clinical management and information dissemination for rare dysmorphic diseases. Department of Medical Genetics is a member of network centres (Väestöliitto).

DECIPHER (Database of Chromosomal Imbalance and Phenotype in Humans using Ensembl Resources)

Orphanet From 2007 The Department of Medical Genetics has acted as the Finnish partner of Oprhanet and compiled data from Finland for the portal. Orphanet-Finland

Department is also a collaborating partner of the Europlan -project that started 2008 as the European project for rare diseases national plans development.
