Donated Eggs and Sperm Bank

Would You Like to Donate Eggs?

There is a constant shortage of eggs needed in infertility treatments. Eggs can be donated at every Fertility Clinic of the Family Federation. Desired donors are healthy women under the age of 35 preferably with children of their own. The donor will undergo hormone stimulation of her ovaries and the oocyte retrieval as for in vitro fertilization using an ultrasound-guided procedure. The donor will be reimbursed for her expenses.

Those interested in being an egg donor may contact the Helsinki Clinic, phone (09) 616 221, the Oulu Clinic, phone (08) 537 2560 or the Turku Clinic, phone (02) 212 0800.

Sperm Bank

Preferred sperm donors are 20-45-year-old healthy men wishing to help childless couples. Trial freezing of the sperm will show whether the sperm can be stored and used for treatments. Accepted donors will be reimbursed for their expenses.

Storing One’s Own Sperm

The sperm bank can also freeze a man’s own sperm, if, for example, cytostate or radiation therapy is expected to lower sperm production. Sperm is frozen at all the clinics. The fee for storage varies according to the clinic.
