Our sexological research focuses on surveys and studying the adult population’s sexual desires, values, behaviors, sexual problems, and sexual pleasures. Research in FINSEX research project is conducted mainly by national sex surveys covering already a period of fifty years..

We also monitor changes in sex education and sexual health knowledge among school children in PESESE research project.

In spring 2011 we started the BoyS-project on Finnish secondary school boys’ sexual education

In addition to these projects the Institute also conducts qualitative sexual studies and distinct international collaborative projects.
