MigSecne is using Finnish and international microsimulation tools, survey and register data, and machine learning techniques, the consortium will present a set of multidimensional population projections for Finland between 2025 and 2070.
In addition to Väestöliitto, the University of Turku and the University of Helsinki are partners in the consortium. Other collaborators are cities of Helsinki, Turku and Tampere, and Tampere City region, Statistics Finland, and different Ministries. Väestöliitto is also responsible for the project interaction.
The study has received funding from the Strategic Research Council (STN), established within the Research Council of Finland. MigScene is part of the Skills, Labour Supply and Migration in Future Finland (SKILLS) program.
